I certainly never intended to keep two bitches from this final litter of Am Ch Highcroft Calienté  (Imp USA).

My plan was to retain the sable bitch Dallas. I already had more than enough tri-coloured bitches, but I just could not part with this puppy.

Outstanding, in your face, mischievious temperament was her modus operandi…just look at me and don’t stop looking at me mum!  Wonderful movement, gorgeous head piece, excellent angulation and no obvious faults…. so she “earned” her place at LochWind the hard way.

I have little doubt that Mia as she matures will prove her worth in the show ring and the whelping box at a later date.

The Western Classic 5/6th March 2005, Mia took her first 25 points in style. Despite going into her yearling coat drop just ten days prior to show day, her quality was quite obvious and with an entry of 48 collies she was awarded Best of Breed over her half sister the tri bitch, LochWind Better B Dazzled, under Mr James Mitchell USA.

Confirming that her win at the Western Classic was no anomaly, at her next show, the Winter Festival, Mia was awarded BOB and Best in Group  over her half sister Ch LochWind Better B Witch’d, by Mr Yoshio Mori, breed specialist from Japan.

Bred to Can Ch/Ch Tamaron’s Arranbrae Tradition, Mia produced a beautiful litter of pups. Sadly it was at the time I was getting out of showing dogs.
